THE Under-Secretary of State for India presents his compliments to the Under- Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and, by direction of the Earl of Crewe, forwards herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State, copy of a telegram from Viceroy, dated the 27th January, relative to Pien-ma.

January 27, 1911. EXPEDITION to Pien-ma. Please see our telegram of yesterday. His Majesty's consul, Tengyueh, telegraphs information of departure from Tali for Tengyueh of 500 new troops, and of probable early departure for Pien-ma, to negotiate with Hertz, of the frontier deputy, Chao. Hertz, who should now be in Pien-ma, has been informed accordingly.
